CLA/CP Study Course

The Arkansas Paralegal Alliance, Inc. periodically offers a CLA/CP Study-Prep Course. This is a full-day, intense preparatory course for those who intend to sit for the CLA/CP Exam issued by NALA (National Association of Legal Assistants). The topics cover basic sections of the exam - Ethics, Judgment/Analytical Ability, Legal Research, American Legal System/Legal Terminology, and Communications/Human Resource & Interviewing. All sections are taught by APA members who have sat through the exam and attained certification. During lunch (provided), the instructors share war stories, tips, humorous experiences from their exam preparation, the exam itself, and life after the exam.

The cost of the study course includes the lecture presentation, all materials and handouts, study kit, light breakfast, beverages, lunch, and snacks. It is strongly suggested that you purchase CLA Study Guide and Mock Exam, Fourth Edition, authored by NALA members and material contributed and CLA Review Manual, Second Edition, authored by Virginia Koerselman, both of which are available through NALA's website, www.nala.org, and through Amazon.com, prior to the Prep Course, if at all possible. NALA's price for each are $135/145 and $35/45 (member/ non-member); Amazon's prices change often, so check that site often.

More details and a registration form will be posted here once the next date and location have been confirmed.
